February 17, 2013 Run and a Pony Tail attacking Bird??

I went running today and my 2 girls were running along with me. We were on the wash~ trail which is home to lots of animals. Today while we were running side by side with each other a large hawk type bird came swopping down and came within inches of touching all three of our heads. He swarmed around us for a while, we just kept running with our arms waving in the air. We all starting laughing because my brother told us this crazy story about a woman jogging with a high ponytail getting attacked by a bird. I thought he was teasing but after today I am wondering if there isn't some truth to it! I guess we will be running in low ponies for a while!

February 16, 2013 My first Official 40 Year Old Mom Run!

Today I turned the big 40! I celebrated by rolling out of bed, sliding into my workout clothes, and jetting out the door. I daydreamed most the run, remembering making fun of My Mom when she turned 40, wondering if my girls were now making fun of me. It was a great time to reflect on how far I have come and how far I plan on going!

February 15, 2013... My last run as a 30-Something!

That is right! Today was my last run as a 30~Something! Tomorrow is my big 40th birthday!
I am not complaining, since I started running about 6 months ago I am in the best shape of my life! I hope to have a great run tomorrow as a 40 year old!

February 13, 2013 Run.. A real Runner??

Today I think I am finally able to say I am a "runner"! Yippee! My Husband saw me while running down the street and said you look like a real runner out there! (I made him repeat it twice) That's pretty exciting to hear from him, because since the start he has been very "honest" about what I look like when I run. It took 6 months... but I feel like I am there! Where ever there is, that place I never thought I would ever get to,the place of it being a part of my life, the place where I don't ask myself why am I doing this, the place where I am the runner I want to be.

February 12, 2013 Run!

Where I live the main roads are all 1 mile to 1 mile from each other. The town is just a big graph. I have always wanted to run a complete square and since my normal run is only 3, I really wanted to run this square and today I did! I am a little upset because my phone rang during my run and when I hit the clicker on my headphones it paused my RunKeeper :( I didn't realize it until I was running along and said hmmm I haven't heard my time in a while and I looked and sure enough it was on pause!! I was sooo bummed out! So I am not really sure what my actual time was or my actual miles. I know it was at least 4 miles but I'm not sure how long it took me, I think I was gone at least 40 minutes.

This has happened to me once before, I think I need to set Runkeeper then hit my home button to get it off my main page so if I hit the clicker it won't mess with it.

February 11, 2013 Run! It always amazes me....

WOW!! Seriously I am amazed at how much my body loves me back after a forced long rest!
So I picked up the nice flu that has been going around, throw in a stomach bug, oh yah... I was a sick, hot mess! But FINALLY after 6 days of being down and out back on the road to recovery! I am not 100% yet but I was running today no matter what! And let me tell you I was HAULING! This is the fastest I have run ever. And it was awesome.

February 5, 2013 My Reverse Run!

So while I was running along yesterday I was really bored so today I decided to run my route starting in the opposite direction. It kept my mind off my actual run because I kept comparing my time to where I was on the run in reverse. 
I am resting tomorrow for sure. My body was just screaming the whole run and I had problems getting quick mini sprints in. I am just running very neutral right now. My distance, my time all seems to have leveled out. I guess it is time to shake things up! (No idea how I will be doing this!)
